Halibut fishing

by ryno on October 14, 2011

Recently, we have been out doing some bottomfishing and had great success.  Halibut are becoming tougher to find as the fall comes along, but they are still out there.  On our last halibut fishing trip, we found a handful in only a couple hours and had a nice bonus of some large lingcod and big yelloweye rockfish!  We also found some nice sized dungeness crab, and a new spot to catch spot prawns.

We are taking bookings for the 2012 season, so if you are thinking about an Alaska fishing trip, contact us today!  We provide fishing charter services for those staying in town or arriving by cruise ship.  Salmon fishing and halibut fishing in the rich waters of Ketchikan is our specialty.  We have lodge, bed & breakfast, and hotel options for our guests that want us to design a fishing adventure for them.  Cruise ship passengers enjoy the ease of our boats being right at the dock to pick them up.  We do not use bussing, or cabs to get you to the boats.  This means more time on the water and more fishing time.  Let us help to design your Ketchikan, Alaska fishing vacation!
