A pretty good snow has covered us up for much of the last week making a launch of Outcast impossible. I ditched the fishing yesterday and jumped in with a buddy for some deer hunting. We launched his 22ft Boston Whaler, drove past the popular halibut fishing spots and headed to Peril Strait. On the day, we ran into windy, blizzard like conditions, but still managed to spot 35 deer and we took 2 nice bucks. The blacktails here don’t have the genes to get to be 4×4, so a 3×3 is the largest around. Both of these are 2×3 with eyeguards, so 7 pointers for those of you that add everything together!
