We had another killer day fishing for winter king salmon! It snowed on us, and it was cold, but these elusive fish could not escape our herring and Repko minnow lures! We started off with 3 fish in the first 90 minutes, 4 fish by the time the next boat showed up, and ground them out to finish out our limit. The 6 fish went 33, 31, 30, 28, 18, and 16 lbs. It continues to look like a promising year in Ketchikan for salmon and halibut fishing charters. Our guests this year should enjoy some excellent fishing…if the early folks don’t catch them all!
